Sarah Palin calls for the next American Revolution
February 7th, 2010 by fatbastardI am reading an article on CNN this morning about Sarah Palin’s speech to the Tea Baggers… or um Tea Party people… Ya know.. the new face the Neo-Con movement is trying to take on. You remember the Neo-Cons. Those ultra conservative ideologues who for the past 40 years or so have tried to slam their righteously moral beliefs down the throat of every American and the rest of the world as well. While at the same time ignoring the idea that those same principles apply to themselves. Those people who for 6 solid years had every opportunity to make America as great as they say it should be when they aren’t in control. Those same folks who nearly ran our economy and our standing in the world into the ground. Well, in Sarah’s speech to 600 or so of those folks, the people who have their noses so far up her ass they can taste what she ate for dinner last week. She said “America is ready for another revolution and you are a part of this”. Simply put. Sarah, if it’s a revolution you are aiming at. Prepare for a fight.
The real people of this country. The ones you think you represent are tired of the shit you are spewing in these speeches, on twitter and facebook. They are tired of the neo-con agenda. They are tired of the republican party and they are tired of the democratic party. Keep pushing for your revolution Sarah and you might just get what you want. The problem is, at least in your case, you wont be on top when it is over.
For 8 years we heard from the bush administration: If you aren’t with us, you’re against us. It’s good to see that you folks are still carrying on that motto. Except now that you aren’t in power, you have to make it out that the people running this country are the anti-American ones. I for one am tired of this line of attack. You are attacking your very own country. You are being anything but patriotic. You might not fully agree with everything that is going on. But, lets get one thing straight: President Obama (yes, he is our president and yours too) won the popular vote with nearly 10 million more votes than John McCain. Nearly 70 million people in this country voted for this president. How many people were at your event again? 600?
I don’t know about you. But, I love my country. I am proud of where I was born and I fly my American flag with pride. What I don’t love is someone trying to push their beliefs down my throat while telling me that I am with them or against them. I want someone in charge who is willing to listen to all sides and then make a judgment based on the facts rather than their gut, even if that decision isn’t the most popular one to make. I want someone in charge who is willing to address a problem with diplomacy rather than with might. I want a person who is in charge that is willing to put the country they are leading before their poll results. I want a leader. From what I have seen during the past year, that is exactly what I, what WE got in President Obama. I bet there are many, many more of those 70 million people that voted for President Obama who feel the same way. See, the thing is. We haven’t been whining about it on tv every other day like you because you lost and your neo conservative agenda is teetering on the abyss. The agenda that has pushed us to the breaking point, your agenda, is not one the majority of the people in this country want. I thought we spoke loud and clear when we elected President Obama with nearly 10 million more votes than John McCain. Maybe we weren’t clear enough…
So, Mrs. Palin. If it comes down to a revolution. Don’t overestimate your importance on the front lines. You might just be one of the first ones on the chopping block.
